Notice of the Club Annual General Meeting

Sunday 17th December 2017 at 12:00,

Bletchingley Golf Club

The AGM is an important event for the membership to hear about the progress of the Club, recent and on-going developments and the many achievements of the past year. Importantly, the meeting also provides a forum for members to put forward their ideas for the future of the Club.

Following the success of last year’s AGM and the positive effect of combining it with a social event on attendance, this year’s meeting will also be held before the Christmas Lunch and after the Feewheel Competition.

All members are welcome, and indeed encouraged, to attend the AGM even if they are not staying for the lunch.

If you wish to attend the Christmas Lunch and have not yet purchased your ticket, places are still available and can be booked through Stephen Roach (,the cost is £22 and should be paid directly to the club's bank account. The lunch starts at 13:30, so the AGM will have to be a slick affair to ensure all the necessary points are covered. We hope that discussions will continue during the lunch.

A minimum of 20 voting members are required to conduct the AGM. Voting members may make nominations for the committee to be elected at the AGM. This can be done during the appointment of the officials at the AGM, but would make the committee’s job easier if interest is expressed beforehand.

The committee comprises the following positions and all are open for nominations:

General Secretary

Kit Secretary

Membership Secretary

Road and Track Secretary

Time Trial Secretary

Off Road Secretary

Social Secretary

Press Secretary

Blah! Editor

Committee Members (2x Senior, 1x Junior Representative)

The Committee proposes that Steve Watkins be elected President and the following Vice Presidents for re-election: Marcus Brueton, Jon Masters, Simon Richardson, Stephen Roach, Ray Runham, Bob Shepperd, Terry Slattery and Steve Watkins (if not elected as President).

The AGM will also consider a range of important club matters as determined by the Committee. In addition, if you have any other business that you feel is relevant to the AGM, then please note that this should be submitted to the General Secretary, Jon Masters, in writing, at least seven days before the meeting.
