Stuart's Rusper ripper
James Stuart was in a class of his own on the G10/57 Rusper course last night when he finished almost two minutes ahead of second-placed Simon Smythe.
A cold north-easterly breeze made the outward leg slow for most people, but the headwind appeared not to affect Stuart. He was on schedule for a 20-minute ride until he was baulked at Faygate roundabout on the way back.
However, back up to speed for the fast downhill finish from the Moorhead roundabout he made up most of the lost time: "I was spinning out in 53x11!" he said.
The next four riders finished within 20 seconds of each other, with Dan Gilderthorp and Dan Sullivan again posting impressive times on road bikes.
The next club TT is on the Bletchingley circuit on June 7.
