Members of the Paragon are always out on their bikes. With members based in Caterham, Reigate, Redhill, Dorking and beyond there is always someone to ride with, no matter where you’re based. We have lots of rides going out on and off road any of which are open to potential new members. While we don’t list all the rides here on the website – there are too many for that – we’d be happy to let you know more about them if you’re interested.

Norwood Paragon Club runs
Our weekend club runs run throughout the year, starting at Maison du Velo in Reigate and typically ending up back in Reigate but with people turning off to head home on their way back. Runs typically leave at 9am on a Saturday and 9.30am on a Sunday and, depending on the time of year will cover distances from 35 up to 80 miles. More details are circulated on the club’s What’s app groups in the days before as the distances and routes are discussed in advance. Norwood Paragon Mountain bike rides
Year round, we organise Wednesday-evening rides in the Surrey Hills. To keep things fresh, we use different meeting locations – usually pubs, where we gather afterwards to exchange tales of daring-do over a burger & a pint. We have set some dates in the Events section of the website for several weekend rides heading out from Denbies (Dorking) & also Reigate Hill. There is a longer off-road trip to Brighton planned for September – this is an annual ride & can be undertaken on either gravel or mtb, although we will take in a few of the more technical trails en route, so an mtb might be more fun! Norwood Paragon’s club time trials
We run a series of friendly time trial events in the Reigate, Dorking area throughout the summer that non members are welcome to come along to. These can be ridden on road or TT bikes and we have overall categories for male and female riders with over £300 in prizes up for grabs. Many of our riders will ride out to the races, and some of our social events take place in pubs near the TTs. All the time trials are listed in our events section of this website. We use the Newdigate (7.1m), Holmwood (10m), Bletchingley (10.3m) and Crowhurst (12.6m) circuits. We also have members regularly riding the Redhill CC TTs that take place on the Horne circuit near Smallfield every Wednesday evening through the summer.
Norwood Paragon’s summer Gravel rides
Our gravel rides are social events, ridden at a nice easy pace allowing members to catch up as they ride. We’re running seven of them through the summer, along with one big ride down to Dover (date TBC). All of the evening rides (around 1.5-2hrs) start and finish at the Inn on the Pond in Merstham and finish either back there or at The Harrow in Chaldon, near Caterham.
